Daniel Miessler has put together a very succinct and basic collection of facts about the Middle East. I imagine none of this comes as a surprise to this blog’s readers… but it’s incredibly clear and worth having on hand to forward when needed.
The first folks to forward it to? Political and media “elites” in Canada.
Arabs are part of an ethnic group, not a religion. Arabs were around long before Islam, and there have been (and still are) Arab Christians and Arab Jews. In general, you’re an Arab if you 1) are of Arab descent (blood), or 2) speak the main Arab language (Arabic).
