Yellow Sticky Notes

Half-Japanese Canadian (they do it to me everytime) Jeff Chiba Stearns is an award-winning independent filmmaker, writer, and artist based out of British Columbia. He’s produced an impressive animated short that grabbed my attention and the attention of a number of award committees and festivals.

Yellow Sticky Notes is made with only a black pen and 2300 individual sticky notes and made my day.

It’s neat that it was made with lots and lots of sticky notes, but I don’t find that video (content) that compelling or interesting to watch…

Really not trying to be “negative” just my take.

@ian cheung - fair enough. =) I found it pretty impressive, considering I can’t draw anything. Also, I have a difficult enough time keeping track of five to ten sticky notes at a time, let alone 2300+ of them.

Enjoyed watching Jeff’s life unfold on sticky notes — punctuated by 9/11 and then taking an unexpected turn… Very clever — loved his drawings. A star talent. Thanks for sharing it Mike!
